چکیده
Intermittent turning (IT) is characterized by a different context than continuous (CT). The cutting tool shocked each time it goes off-load and engages new surface. This interruption causes severe conditions, which fatally affect the performance parameters. purpose of this study to assess effects four factors, nose radius (r), speed (Vc), feed rate (f), depth cut (ap), on following output parameters: surface roughness (Ra), temperature (T°), wear (VB) during AISI D3 cold work steel. A triple CVD (AI2O3/TiC/TiCN)-coated carbide was used. Taguchi L9 (3^4) experimental design adopted for carrying out experiments in intermittent turning. To improve parameters based three (3) highly particular scenarios that fulfill industrial criteria, desirability function (DF) grey relational analysis method (GRA) were Finally, optimization findings two strategies compared order evaluate method.
